I have a small wireless network in my home. I have one laptop that connects to router by wireless network card and two computers that connect to router using usual network cards. The problem is that from some points in home I can not access router or LAN with my laptop even if the signal is very good. Otherwise, everything is working well.

Wireless LAN is very prone to some interference from outside. If there is some electrostatic or electric discharge near by you will have trouble connecting to wireless LAN. Also, if there are many wireless LANs around router can be in doubt where to broadcast signal so you may loose your network connection no matter signal strength. Wireless networks are very convenient but they are not nearly error prone like usual wired LANs
