What is better MP3 or WMA? I had an argument with a friend and he claims that it’s completely unnecessary and that it even burdens the system to install any other programs apart from those that are part of Windows suite. That’s why he says that WMA is better from MP3 and he doesn’t even have Winamp installed and always converts all his audio files to WMA format. What do you think?
I think that he exaggerates, of course. I’ve also heard from an acquaintance who is a system administrator that there is no need to install programs for home use other than those that exist within Windows. So he also says that installing Winamp or picture editing software is completely unnecessary and that it only consumes CPU. But I think that MP3 and WMA are of approximately the same quality. I install additional programs regardless of what I’ve heard and I’m pretty satisfied. As far as I know WMA has a new professional version that has more channels and similar staff, but that’s not important to me since I only need all that for home use. So, pick the one you prefer. There is no big difference.
