| Hi everyone! What kind of editors do you use for programming? I need one with good compile features, because I work in large projects. I heard that notepad++ is good. I am using JavaSript and Html. Crimson editor is my best choice, but its an old program, and doesnt support some libraries. I need something more customizable, something fresh. I didnt mention that I am an Ubuntu user. Hail Linux! |

| Linux is ok for programming, but Windows is supporting more plugins and add-ons. I am using Codemate. Simpe, fast, efficient and free. Install it, try it, and come back here to say your opinion. You will be surprised how easy is to use. For example importing projects is done in just two steps. To access your add-ons, you can use right button, and context menu. Program also offers suggestions, like MS Word grammar check. All syntax errors are being automatically repaired, so you dont have to worry about that. Html users, for example, are using notepad, an ordinary notepad, because they dont need compiling. By the way, HTML can be learnt in a few days. You are the first JavaScript user with installed Ubuntu. Remember that programming for internet is best done in Debain. You should get PHP, because you can do exactly same things as in JavaScript, even more. And it has a syntaxt similar to HTML, youll not do anything from the beginning. |
