Avast is pretty good free solution.
I've tested few free Antivirus programs, including AVG and AntiVir, which are also excellent software.
Avast shows good detection, has good scanner for online activities and email. It has nice customizable interface (you can set levels of security for every feature).
Good solution is to pair it with good free firewall as ZoneAlarm, Sunbelt-Kerio Personal Firewall or Comodo firewall and antispyware as AdAware, Spywareblaster or Spybot Search & Destroy. |
