Hello. I have heard that I am able to join two SATA drives to work together as one. If this is true, are we talking about raid or some external enclosure? This is very important to me as I am about to build pretty much stable and reliable back up place for my files. Is this hard to combine, because I heard that SATA drives together can work as a doubled single, which increases overall performance to the maximum. What is actually true from all of this? Thanks in advance.

Hi. Well, I think that everything you heard is true. At least today, there is no impossible, regarding PC software and hardware. I own some kind of enclosure that you mentioned. I have two SATA drives connected inside the BOX, and I can use them individually or in RAID 0 mode. It comes with the option to connect them via USB, FireWire or which ever I choose. Supports SATA and SATA II, it is silent and working flawlessly. My suggestion for everybody.
