I have a problem. When I try to boot Windows XP it stops at blue screen with a lot of cryptic messages. I do not know what the problem is. All I am able to decipher is some stop message mentioning video adapter. This issue is happening for the last few days and I am not able to log into Windows. I would appreciate any help you can provide to me.

For I was able to understand without proper error codes (that cryptic messages) is that you have problem with video card. This can mean two things. Either your video adapter is mulfunctioning or drivers for your video card are corrupted. Before you go out and buy new video card try uninstalling old drivers and installing new ones. It is reccomended to download latest ones from video adapter manufacturers web site.
