Some pages load really slow in Firefox, but perfectly normal in Internet Explorer. There doesn't seem to be a common theme to the pages with this problem, some are on the same sites and some are not. Furthermore, when I try to open one of these pages (whether it loads all the way or not), it seems somehow to slow the browser down for good, making all pages load slowly, so I have to restart to sort of reset it. Anyone know of this problem? What could I do to stop it?

First, are some of those pages actually pdf documents? Because Adobe Acrobat doesn't go well with Firefox – it loads all sorts of plugins that aren't required, which slows it down heavily. To avoid this, get an extension called "pdf download" or something like that. Second, is your browser up to date? Download and install the latest version, and turn auto-updates on.
