| I can't seem to get this thing installed. A little above 50% in progress, it says something like "cannot copy this or that file, system cannot read from the device". The file in question is SimCity_1.dat. Normally, I would assume it was a damaged disc, but the thing is, the same disc is read easily at a friends machine, and the game installs there OK! What do I do? |

| Obviously, your drive is having issues with the DVD. It may require cleaning (the drive, not the disk), though it can be hard to do manually if you've never done it before. Why not just burn it from your friend's machine, onto a different disc? If not that, I guess you'll have to buy another copy. |
