I don't quite understand how mozilla groups work. I've searched the internet for info, and found out that the public servers are for developers only, while the user support groups are on secure servers. Is this true, and if so, how exactly does this make sense? If the info is out of date, could you explain to me the current setup and perhaps post a link to the list of mozilla newsgroup servers? Thanks in advance.

You're right, the information is outdated. The setup that you describe was a result of development priority changes for the former Netscape developer bunch, but that's not important, because today the Mozilla support groups are on public servers, hosted by Giganews. Try mozilla.support.firefox, mozilla.support.thunderbird, mozilla.support.mozilla-suit, etc.
