Hi! I just started using Mozilla Thunderbird for my e-mail and now I want to use it for newsgroups too. The problem is that I don’t have a clue on how this is done. I’ve never been setting newsgroups accounts before, even when I used the Outlook Express. Could anyone offer me some help with this? Thanks a lot in advance!

I think that you could have easily found this info on Mozilla’s website but nevertheless I’ll just be so kind as to provide you with the full instructions. First you need to setup a newsgroup account. Choose: File-> New-> Account. You should get the Account Wizard window. There you should enter your name and e-mail the way you want it to appear in the messages you’ll be sending. As for the Newsgroup Server box, you should enter forums.projectseven.com. In the end you should just name the account anyway you want. To subscribe to newsgroups you should click on this new account you created which should be listed in the left sidebar of the Thunderbird window. There you can click ‘Manage newsgroups subscriptions’. You’ll get the list of all newsgroups available so just look for the ones you want to subscribe to, place a checkmark next to them, click ‘subscribe’ and that’s it.
