Ok, folks I want some opinions here! I am having major dilemma thinking to buy one second-hand computer that is a true burgeon. Not swimming in my pocket money here right now, no wonder I am going for this maybe desperate move. But then I recalled the problem that my friend is having right now. He bought one a month ago, maybe less, and now having a problem with the “strange” repulsive smell and it is turning to be a pretty noisy thing. Why I am here you wonder, well for 2 reasons. I signed in here looking for opinions and then he asked me to disclose his PS issue that he is having now. With one hit two flies. Help for friend and should I go for second-hand one?!

Aren’t you thoughtful one Smile. I can only say in my behalf I don’t think I would ever go for second –hand PC, call me snobbish I don’t care, lol. Actually being a snob and fashionable are not real reasons for having that opinion at all. Read what you have written here and I think you will get my point. I am not going for it cause I am paranoid not to end up just like your friend, plus components are evolving every sec so buying something that was already used equals; one it can get broke pretty fast and second – fact it’s an oldie with old parts so most probably will have hard time finding the replacement for those in the future (manufacturers stop producing those parts issue), I mean don’t get me wrong I know people often can’t afford new ones, just saying that sometimes thinking that you are kind of saving the money with buying the second-hand thing unfortunately often means just the opposite; bringing possible money lost on future repairs. In general it is a gamble. To your friend I can only make a joke saying that now he is maybe a proud owner of” smoking cigarettes” computer, lol. I heard people talking how PC can collect smells from its surrounding, never saw it, just spreading the story that could be an urban legend. On the other hand could be the fan and cooling system gone mad. Well I will leave to some experts to try to find salvation for your friend’s PC.
