| Hello. My computer seemed to be just fine, everything was working properly. But I noticed yesterday, when I was trying to copy a large amount of data form one partition to another, extreme slowdown of transfer rate. Speed falls down after some moments equal to 15.000 kb per second. I am using Serial ATA, Seagate Barracuda 250 gigabyte hard drive. AMD Barton processor. What is the problem? Anyone else experienced like I am? |

| It seems that you have bought faster hard drive and it appears to be slower than the standard one, right? I know that because, Barton is really good processor, but now, it is way too old. So as your motherboard is. And those hard drives, well you can say they are not so old on market. Technological improvements and more rapid speed for better products, constantly. Well, AMD has never did a 100 great job if we speak of their chip set instructions. So it tells me that you must find and update your motherboard chip set drivers. Particularly if you are using VIAK8. The same thing with nForce3. Those was among the first with SATA support. So, find and install new motherboard drivers. |
