| I have been having a computer for several months and I havent got any problems until recently.Several weeks ago, my PC started shutting down with no apparent reason. Whether I work something, go on the Internet or play a game, at one point, it simply turns off without a warning. Does anyone know what might be the problem? Thanks in advance. |

| Random restarting or shutting down of a computer is one of the most common problems, and it can have various causes. First, your RAM memory might be malfunctioning. It can happen most often in the case you have chips from different manufacturers, which are not compatible. To see if that is a problem run a memory test, which you can start right after the starting screen flashes upon turning on your computer. Another common problem might be a computer virus, which can be equally serious as the first one. Get a good anti-virus program like Kaspersky or NOD32 and see if there is really a virus. It might be an overheating problem, in which case you should clean inside your tower a bit. The best solution, in case it is not a memory problem, is to format your hard disk and install fresh copy of Windows. Best of luck. |
