queries about backing up the hard drive

I think this is the moment for all you people to bring here the best of the best. Trying to figure out what's the best way for backing up the hard drive. I am going to do that job soon and looking for safe fast way, although I am opened for all kind of suggestions. So throw some ideas on me right about NOW!

I have no idea what are you looking for â€“ some one button back up software or external drive?! About files I was always for slow and safe option with CDs or DVDs. You know how people say; that what is done in rush will cause some mess and fuss, lol. Maybe could suggest Acronis True Image or Norton ghost heard about those programs someplace, but never tried.
