program to convert .MOV to divX or mpg

Hello! I have some videoclips made with mobile phone that are in .MOV format. However, my stand-alone dvd-divx player canâ€™t playback these movies. It can play dvd, mpg, divx formats. Which program to use to convert .MOV to divx or mpg? If there are some free, or cheap apps, thatâ€™d be great. Thanks for your answers.

Hi there! Divx format is a special mp4 format of .avi video. Thereâ€™s a small and rather cheap application called â€œMovie Converterâ€. You can download it here: http://www.movietoolbox.com/converter.html. Itâ€™s 15 bucks only. Another place with list of downloadable converters: http://www.mp3towav.org/mov-to-avi.asp. I donâ€™t know if thereâ€™s a free solution for this operation.
