I’ve bought new speakers and I was so happy until I tried to play some music, but despite the fact that my Winamp is working properly, there was no sound coming from the speakers. I’ve inspected everything and I’m sure I connected them well. What can be the problem? I haven’t been using my PC for any multimedia for a long time and that maybe has something to do with the problem.

If the LED indicator on your speakers in on, that means that you’ve connected your PC and speakers correctly and then you should look into software for a problem. I have no idea what could be the issue, but I think that maybe your speakers need additional drivers and that you should look into the box and see if there is a CD. If there is, install it and everything will be ok. On the other hand, since you say you haven’t been using your PC for music and movies for a long time, maybe you’ve forgotten to install drivers for your sound cards or drivers for your motherboard responsible for the sound. Check that out also.
