I’m having troubles with my dvd-rw. So, I have installed it myself and I have closely followed the instructions but for some reason the burning process lasts for too long. For example, 1% is burned for the whole minute which I think is too much since the whole 100% take almost an hour and a half to burn. What do you think the problem is?

I think that either you connected something badly. That’s why I always have somebody else take care about my hardware and PC in general. I don’t like to meddle with things I don’t know much about. This way you can only cause damage to the sensitive parts of hardware. And sometimes the warranty is no longer valid is you install some things on your own instead of leaving that to professionals. Other reason for this problem can be that there are wrong settings in Nero burning software. You should check how they’re adjusted and switch them to default settings. Pay a special attention to the settings DMA and PIO. If your settings are adjusted to PIO then your PC will be running in safe mode.
