| Hello there I have this piece of hardware but I also do have some problems with setting it up. My ISP has given me some instructions on how to setup this, but it is so very much confusing, at least it is for me. I never did such a hard job on the computer so far, at least it is hard for me. Therefore I will be very pleased if someone is willing to help me out on connecting this router properly. Thanks in advance. |

No problem at all. Here are DHCP steps. It consist of four steps in total:
Step 1, setup menu 1: leave blank name, and domain name should be your ISP name, something like "vz.dsl.genuity.net" (you have that on paper, right?), now on menu number 2 you need to assign IP address of your PC, for example – 192.168.0.2, save after entering this values. Set encapsulation to Ethernet on menu 4 and leave blank user name and password. Complete the test after. And the last thing, check is WAN IP address showing. If it does, you are free to open your internet browser and to begin with surf. Good luck.
