I am a newbie at broadband Internet so I need help. I need to set up my connection. My manual is very poor, it doesnt explain anything. I was able to set up the connection with dial-up but this is tricky. I have only two cables, modem and splitter. How to connect them? Which cable goes where? Then, what is the proxy number and my IP number? Thanks everyone!

It isnt as hard as you think. Firstly, insert the SB cable in the free USB port n the computer. Then put in the modem UTP cable, and another end goes in the splitter. In the modem port. Pick up another UTP cable and insert it in phone port in the splitter. Same cable goes in the wall, and thats all. Go to control panel, and find the connections window. Open it and create new connection. There, step by step, set up the broadband connection. It goes like, set up my connection manually then broadband, and then just click next. Dont use any proxy or IP settings because you dont need any. That should be it in case you are using static IP. If youre using other solution, contact your ISP. You will see the small green triangle in the bottom corner. That means your connection is working. Good Luck!
