nVidia Geforce 6600GT and AGP problems

I have motherboard with VIA chipset and XFX GeForce 6600GT AGP video card. I have problems with some games like Battlefield 2. These problems are texture corruption and game lock ups. I have tried to reinstall drivers, to install new ones and to switch on some older drivers but none of that helped. Do you what is the problem here?

These problems can happen with GeForce 6600GT AGP video cards in combination with VIA and SiS chipsets mainly, but problems are reported with other chipsets, also. Changing driver will not help you so do not waste time with that. All you have to do is to turn off Write Combining which is turned on by default. It can improve performance, but at the same time, cause some texture problems and game lock ups.
