| Of course its compatible. Ive only seen Dell Inspirion 5150 models with this nVidia video card and they are great. The only problematic thing Ive heard about this configuration is that nVidia GeForce FX Go5200 doesnt agree with Linux. Namely, a friend of mine tried to install Linux but it didnt work. He even tried to boot it with Knoppix but it was also unsuccessful. So, if you plan to use it with Windows, dont worry, itll run like clockwork. But, if you want to use alternative software and Linux, expect problems. As I can recall, Linux works just fine with a Radeon chipset, and I think that you can find Dell Inspirion 5100 with this chipset. |
