nVidia 8800 Vs 8600

Hello. I'm trying to decide on one of these two cards, and I'm not quite sure on what to make of the specs that I found online. Judging from what they have listed, the ASUS GF 8800 GTX 768MB performs at a just slightly higher level than the 8600, on a same platform that is, but if that is so, then what accounts for the price difference of some 150? I don't get it.

How do you figure it "performs at a just slightly higher level than the 8600"? If you're seriously comparing the power of the 8800 to the generally shitty and sadly issue-ridden 8600, you've been reading the wrong review sites. Now, whether it's worth 850+ of your hard earned $$$ or not is another issue altogether.
