| I have microsoft windows XP operating system. Recently following problem occurred: when I try to start Microsoft word, it is just freeze or hang. I cant restart my computer normally, because its saying that word application still works. I have to reboot it or shutdown it pressing button. I know that its not very recommended procedure, so I asking you for help. |

This is happening because of the normal.dot. All you have to do to solve this problem is to change name to normal.dot. To change its name do following:
Go to start, then search, type normal.dot and look for it in every files and folders on your hard disk. When searching is complete and when it appear in search box, just right click on it, then click on rename, type new name and thats it. After this action you should use your word normally.
