| I got a Hewlett Packard laptop last month as a birthday present from my parents. They also installed me an ADSL Internet connection. Then a good friend installed me software for movie downloading, BitTorrent. At the beginning, everything worked fine. Since yesterday, my Internet connection is too slow. I have a constant internet activity. How to prevent unwanted downloads from internet? |

| I think that you probably have some sort of virus from Downloader or Trojan category. Its job is to allow access to hard drive content on your computer to his owner. You cannot find out who is that person. That is the often problem for Torrent users. I also had to reinstall my Windows because of torrents and viruses. You can prevent unwanted downloads from the Internet. From my personal experience, I found out what to use for protection. The protection that I have been using for last four months is combination of AVG and Seagate Personal firewall. Use AVG from the Safe mode to clean all viruses from your computer and then, install Seagate. I think that will solve your problem. |
