Hi all! Something called isass.exe has appeared in the processes window on my machine. It seems to me that it’s the reason why my pc has slowed down lately. I read about people having problems with this isass.exe and that it shuts down their system for no reason all of a sudden. I scanned my system with HijackThis but it didn’t find this isass.exe or anything else unusual. Should I remove this file and if you think I should, please tell me how! Thanks!

There are two files of a similar name that people sometimes get confused. Lsass.exe is a Windows file and doesn’t damage your system while Isass.exe is something added by a trojan. If you have this bad file, the entry you’ll get in HT should look like this:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Services] Isass.exe. Fixing this isn’t that hard. You should just reboot your machine, do a normal Windows search for it, and if you find it, delete it.
