I have a mac and PC. What I attend to do is sharing internet connection on mac. I am planning to do it with crossover cable. But I have a little problem: I have never done this before. Can you give me some kind of tutorial for this action? I think that could not be so hard and that I can handle with it.

Oh, you will handle it! To do internet sharing youll use that option in mac OS X. open system preferences, click on sharing, then click on internet tab; enable internet sharing; click start. You have shared internet connection. On your PC change TCP/IP with those which is given in the Network setup.
