Hello, all. My firewall is reporting suspicious behaviour of a certain file, one inetinfo.exe, as in possible trojan-like activity. However, when I instruct it to delete the bastard, it tells me it could (!) be related to some Windows component or other that I might need, so it wants me to be really sure I want the .exe killed, which I'm not. I know there are sites out there that can ID a potential file by name and tell you what it does, but I don't know any of them. Does anyone have prior experience with this file as a potential trojan/virus? What do you recommend I do? Thanks,

I never heard of a firewall that's delicate enough to report this. Usually they just quarantine the suspicious file(s) and have you let them out later if necessary. Anyway, inetinfo.exe is apparently a MS-made piece of software, used for something called Internet Information Services. If you're not on a server, it's useless to you, so you can disable the service all together or just quarantine the file, whichever you prefer.
