Hello. Here's the problem: I'm trying to export my address book from a previous installation of OE, and import it into a fresh installation of outlook 2002, but it doesn't seem to work as it should. No matter what I do, I keep getting the error message that says outlook can't access the .pst files because they're being used by another application, I should close them, yadda, yadda… The thing is I'm positive everything else is closed and nothing is messing with the files. I even uninstalled outlook express just to be on the safe side, but no change. What am I doing wrong here?

I'm not sure if you’re doing anything wrong, actually, it's just that Outlook can be picky like that sometimes. The first thing you should try would be exporting the files to another location, but since you already uninstalled OE, you'll just have to try copying them elsewhere. If importing from there doesn't work, you'll have to download one of those useful little utilities that handle the mail import/export functions. Just do a web search and something should come up.
