Hi! A friend of mine is a student and few days ago he had exam. He failed because he didnt know enough information about Mac and PC system files. I would like to know, what is the difference between these two types of system files? What is the most important thing, which has to be said about Mac and PC system files?

Mac and Pc computers are using different system files. Thats the reason why we have to use TransMac. Mac somputers, on their standard, are using HFS file systems. Macintosh start using HFS files while hard disk had much smaller capacity. HFS is the best for small volumes or those that may be used on older systems. Also, on a PC, files appears as a single sequnce of bytes which can store any information. Windows are using two types of system files, FAT and NTFS. NTFS file system are made for Windows NT. Windows which are made before Win NT OS, arent support this type of files, but younger Win operating systems are using NTFS.
