Hi, all. I'm trying to get my laptop to boot from my USB drive, but it just won't respond. No matter how I set the boot sequence in BIOS, it always skips the USB and boots form another device. I was told to check if my MoBo supports USB-booting at all, but I guess it does if it has that option listed in the boot sequence, right? Is there something wring with the USB drive itself, I mean, is there something I need to do to make it bootable? Thanks.

What OS are you on? Some don't allow booting from external drives at all. Also, you should've noted which USB flash drive you're using, but speaking generally, the first thing you should try to make it bootable would be formatting it from the OS itself. Also, don't rely on the fact that there's an "Ext. Drive" option in the boot sequence in BIOS, check your motherboard manufacturer's site for specifics, and see if it'll support USB booting. Finally, there's a very detailed guide at the bootdisk.com site (/usb.html).
