I have a PC for three years. Yesterday, I had an argue with a colleague in my office. He told me that my computer is too old and I should think about replacing it as soon as possible. However, my computer serves my needs completely. Is he right? How old is too old for hardware?

Is your computer too old or not, only you could tell. Your friend maybe meant that you could not get anything if you would not replace it soon. If we know that computers loose half of its price every year, that is the true. Next year your computer value in money would be around zero. However, your computer also has its using value. If your old programs suit your needs, your computer would support them as long as you want him to. Computers are machines with a long working period and are not prone to malfunctions because they do not have many mechanical parts. Therefore, is your computer too old or not only you can decide.
