Hi all! I have a very old pc and I plan to buy a new one really soon but I don’t know a lot about computers today. I would really like to buy a good one so I wanted your advice on how much memory should I buy for example. Any other suggestions ( what kind of motherboard, graphic card etc) would be welcome too.

Well, it depends on what you plan to do with it. If you’re going to use a new Windows Vista, you’ll need a lot of RAM. It’s the same if you want to play a lot of new games. I’d recommend 1Gb of RAM and you shouldn’t buy less than 512Mb whatever you plan to do. If you’re going to use it for office applications only you might be able to get by with only 256Mb but since RAM is not that expensive anymore I think you don’t need to hold out on that.
