I have bought new pioneer dvd burner. When I tried to install spidf cable, some error occurred telling me that I have to enable spdif in my system. I use windows XP operating system and I do not know how to enable this. I hope that your answer will help me to solve this problem. Thank you.

First you should enable spidf in your bios; then reboot system; after that go to system configuration utility an there enable s/pdif digital feature at start menu; then reinstall audio drivers; then set in the speaker setup (sounds and audio devices) to 5.1 surround sound speakers; then go to volume control, choose properties and select optin with spdif function; after this boot some dvd movie and in dvd player windvd open properties, then audio and check enable s/pdif output.
