Hello! I have router and I know that these devices are called hardware firewalls. I want to know how much my computer with this router is secured. I do not have a network; I have just connected my computer through router to cable modem. I have only one address in MAC address field in router settings.

Hello! It is true that routers are called also hardware firewalls. I think that is very wise thing that your computer goes to the internet through the router. I hope that you have closed all unneeded ports. Routers are pretty safe, but they are not enough for computer security. Besides router, you should install some personal firewall software.
