I have a strange problem with Windows XP Professional. When I try to shut it down it freezes and I have to manually shut it down by pressing button on computer case. This is not much of a problem, because it is working fine but I am curious what is causing this behavior.

This is not much of a problem, but it could be in a near future. Try to shutdown computer from safe mode. If you successfully shut it down from safe mode then you probably have some driver issues. You should check Device manager to see if there are some conflicts between devices or if there is some device that is not working properly. As a last resort, uninstall all drivers and then install new, updated ones.
