Hi. I have a question. How do I format drive C? I want to delete my XP installation and start from beginning. When I open computer management and go to disk management, there is no option to format drive C available. I have already done formatting of another drive that contained data. Is there a way to format C drive before I begin new installation?

Well, if you plan to do another XP installation, setup will prompt you for the location and formatting of future installation’s partition. Windows XP will not allow formatting itself from disk management, nor will let you use format c: from command prompt. So you can do this with installation CD. There are other options. You can choose R from menu that appears in the beginning of installation and start recovery console. Than you can format partitions from within console. Or you can boot using some bootable CDs that contain partitioning tools, e.g. hiren boot, infraCD and some more.
