Hey guys, I wanted to ask about a potential e-mail virus situation. I keep getting e-mail messages with the subject title "Format Drive C:\". Seeing that, I kind of freak out and delete them, even though they don't always have attachments and my virus checker doesn't beep. Is there a known virus or trojan of this name? If not, what's going on, and should I open these messages?

I've never heard of such a virus, and personally, I would imagine its creator would be a little more imaginative with the mail subject line. It's almost as if they called it "Virus Message Do Not Open" or something… It could be just spam, I suppose. Update your anti-virus scanner (and spam blocker, if any), and then I'd say you could safely open (or block sender) this message.
