Hi there. I am trying to boot Windows XP box with floppy disk. I need to use fdisk to make some changes on hard drive. When I insert floppy disk and boot computer I end up in normal Windows XP booted from hard drive. I fear that this means that my floppy drive is not working. Am I right?

Hello. This can mean that floppy drive is not working but it also can mean that you have not configured BIOS to boot from floppy disk, have not enabled floppy in BIOS at all or have not created boot floppy properly. Reboot computer, enter BIOS and look for boot sequence settings (use motherboard manual if you can not find it). Change these settings so floppy drive is set as first boot device. Save settings and exit.
