Hi guys, I'm having problems viewing flash animations in Firefox 1.5. On some sites, it just shows a blank window, sometimes with the buttons or clickable areas within the missing animation space. On some others, it tries to play them but the sound and video are garbled up. On some, however, it plays flash perfectly. IE handles all OK. What are my options here, I don't want to switch back to IE just because of this…

Generally, these problems occur only with animations using older versions of flash (don't remember the numbers), which weren't made with Firefox in mind. They are fairly rare today, of course. Still, in case you start having these problems on most, if not all, pages using flash, then there probably is something wrong with the browser. In that case, go to mozilla.org and search for an update or extension that will help you handle flash better.
