Hello. I need some information about firewalls and popup blockers. I know they are some security tools that are essential for keeping computer secure but I do not know what they are doing. I would be really grateful if you could explain this to me a little bit. Thank you in advance for your attention.

Firewall is blocking open ports on your computer and prevents intruders to use these ports to gain access to your computer. They are, also, making your ports invisible on internet and minimizing risk of being attacked. Popup blockers stop annoying pop ups from appearing. If you are using Internet Explorer 6 you know how pop ups can be really intrusive.
