I have a computer for last four years. I am using it to run accounting software and it suits me well. Yesterday, I decide to change my printer because it is broken and repair price is too high. I bought a brand new laser USB printer. However, when I brought it home I saw that I don't have a port to plug it. Is it possible to hook up USB printer to an old PC with empty network connections folder?

It is the very common problem in computer industry. Because that industry develops fast, your equipment becomes obsolete in just a few years. There are few ways to solve your problem. First, you can get a PCI USB adapter and use it to connect your printer. The other way is to check does your computer support direct network connection. If it has, you can install it and connect your computer and printer over the network switch. The last option is quite expensive and I do not think it is payable but I will mention it. You could connect your printer on the network by using a special device called print server.
