Like the name says, dxdiag.exe is a diagnostic tool for DirectX, so no, it's not what you would call essential. I'm surprised that it's infected, because AFAIK it has nothing to do with network-related processes. Still, stranger things have happened. Go ahead and delete it, you can get a replacement in just about any DirectX package you install later. |
