I have so called constant internet connection, which means everything I do I am there on the net and I want lower the options of getting some viruses or other malwares as much as I can. So I am wondering here, can I turn my LAN connection on and off on my demand, maybe make some dial up shortcut or something? Well that is all that I’m asking.

Hello! And some people wish to have the 24/7 net . Well you can in IE make some pages work off line, or you can unplug the modem. But if you want to just disable LAN connection then try to disable the LAN card. Go to 'Connections' and find the LAN. Right click on it and chose Disable. If you have a small icon in the Taskbar showing the LAN connection then right click on this and chose disable (or if not an option chose Status and disable there). Enable is the same as disable but chose enable. On the other hand if you use Internet Explorer go to: Tools/Options/Connections/LAN settings you can disable it from there, cause the connections are shared with IE. Hope you managed to hide from the Internet attacks.
