| I don't know what's causing this, but my system is almost always working at 100%, and I have to turn it off periodically to avoid overheating. When I restart, everything is OK for a time, but soon enough the resource usage percentage climbs, and it's back at 100% (or close enough it makes no difference). What can I do? Will I have to reinstall XP? |

| Probably not, but you will have to improve your security measures. I hope you're not relying only on XP's default security (which is a joke, of course)? Your system is most probably infected with spyware of various kinds, and that's what's eating up your resources. Get a good anti-sw program like HJT, for example (google) and clean it up. |
