My compaq presario 5000 has gone mad all of a sudden. There is no sound whatsoever coming from it whatever I do. And it was working properly just two days ago. There aren’t any conflicts being reported in the ‘Device Manager’ and I really don’t know what to do? Please, anyone, if you have any ideas post them ASAP. Thanks!

Have you tried updating or reinstalling the sound card drivers? Other than that, it may be that your OS has gotten bad somehow and you should perhaps try reinstalling. You didn’t say which OS you’re running nor which model of Compaq Presario 5000 you have. If you were to provide us with some more info, maybe someone will be able to offer you more help.
