Hello! I am having this old Compaq Presario 1610 and it seems it is at the brink of its existence. What I have noticed that whenever I use it more than half an hour it gets so hot that I thing you could fry eggs on it! Has this got something to do with the machine or its OS is corrupted? I would really need your opinion about this! Thanks!

Hi there! The reason of overheating has been and still is the issue with ALL laptops. That is something that technology has to deal with every day. Concerning your overheating, this might be due to the battery life. It might be something wrong with the power cord also. Bt what you should do first is to defragment your computer. That might also be the cause of overheating since the CPU is lost somewhere between millions of processes!
