| My cdrw burner wont recognize any blank cd-s. Its weird because I just bought it. I tried with different types of media, like Princo, Verbatim, Sdata and so.But none of this actually works. My cd burner is Sony r5, and my vendor said that its best on the market. It was pretty expensive, so I dont understand what is happening. Can I check this with my technical support? I am using Nero 5 burning Rom, what about that? Could it be the actual problem? Thank in advance! |

| Well, yeah, you should definitely contact your vendor. And forget about your vendors words about Sony. After all, vendors are supposed to tell this kind stuff to customers. Nero is OK, you shouldnt worry about it. If you still want to check, reinstall it and see what will happen when you insert a blank media. There is no point in trying to repair it on your own, contact your technical support and they will probably repair it for you. Or you will get your money back I suppose. I had a similar problem with my DVD reader, but at the end they said that my warranty doesnt cover it. Can you believe this? So be prepared for everything. CD writer is a cheap component so sometimes it isnt included in warranty. You can actually check this in your contract. You can try to manually reconnect everything, I mean you drive, but dont except much of it. Its best to call your tech support. Or maybe even to buy a new device. |
