cannot uninstall damaged Norton antivirus

I have a problem badgering me for some more time. I do not use antivirus for a while because I did not succeed to uninstall previous one. The point is that Norton antivirus that I had working ok, stopped responding and I had to uninstall. So when I tried to uninstall damaged Norton, it just did not go. I can not uninstall, stops at one point and do nothing, when I restart, it is there again. I am not sure if I can install some other antivirus program before I remove this one. Appreciate any help.

Hello there. What you missed to tell is what is the version of Norton antivirus you use, that is you have been using? Many people have problems trying to uninstall\reinstall Norton and I think this program has an issue regarding this. I can give you advice to visit the Symantec site and try finding some solution. I found a link named “How to uninstall Norton AntiVirus 2000/2001/2002” which explains this problem for various configurations and operating systems. But I think some people had a problem even following these instructions. There are some tools available to do this. Go to web site and type in your problem short description in a search field.
