cannot install Norton AntiVirus 2005

hello. I have a problem to install Norton AntiVirus 2005. This is what I tried many times without any apparent result. I contacted Symantec support, which is one of the worst services I have ever encountered but this did not result, either. When I start installation, at the start point it is like it is doing something, the windows hourglass is running something, but this is an endless process. Can anyone help me to solve this or tell me why is this not working?

Hello there. This is like installation stopped at one point and can not continue. So any other attempt to continue over failed one will make the same result. You need to remove what is started and then to try again. I advice you to go to Symantec web site again and try to find Norton Antivirus 2005 Removal tool. This might help you to get rid of the problematic one on your computer. If you do this, that is right time to think why did it failed to install the first time, since this could happen again.
