Hello everyone. I have found an old computer laying forgotten in the closet. I have decided to use it as a gateway/router. Some minimal Linux distribution would do the trick on Pentium III 550 MHz. However, I am unable to install anything on this computer because I forgot BIOS password. Can you tell me how to remove BIOS password?

Hi. Answer on your question is quite easy. You can remove BIOS password on two ways. You can see if jumper for reseting CMOS exists on your motherboard (consult motherboard manual) and if it there use it to remove password and reset CMOS. Other option is to remove CMOS battery and place it back after several minutes. BIOS will be returned to default factory settings and BIOS password will be removed.
